Rachel Schain: Happy Happy

Welcome

Hey everyone, welcome to RachelSchain.com!  If you like fearless acoustic pop music, you are in the right place.  This is here to keep you posted on show dates and providing links to her blog, twitter, and various other sites around the internet.  We're glad you're here, but we want to make things as easy as possible for you to stay updated.  So join her mailing list (scroll down, it's on the right), and we'll send the info to you in convenient little packages, along with a free exclusive download of a song!  Don't worry, Rachel hates spam even more than you do, so we will never sell, rent, or lend your email address to anyone else, ever.  I'm glad we cleared the air on that one.

Rachel Named Favorite Musician Upstate by Readers of Delaware Today

Wow, this is exciting news.  The winners of this year's Best Of Delaware poll have been released and we are thrilled to announce that thanks to your votes, Rachel Schain is Upstate Delaware's favorite musician!  Rachel cannot possibly express how grateful she is to all who voted for her, and she hopes to give each and every one of those people hugs at her next Wilmington area gigs.  Congratulations to Bruce Anthony as well, for his win as favorite musician from Downstate.

Happy Happy Is Still Out!

It's been 10 months since the release of Happy Happy, Rachel's very first EP.  Happy Happy features 6 original songs and, if we do say so ourselves, it's pretty awesome.  PopMatters says it's awesome, too.  CDBaby has physical copies and digital downloads, or you can go to iTunes, Amazon.com, emusic, Last.fm, Limewire, or the Zune Marketplace for downloads only.  What are you waiting for?  Get Happy Happy!

WSTW Hometown Heroes

Here in the Delaware Valley, we local musicians are very lucky.  Every Sunday night from 8-10 WSTW plays local artists on their show Hometown Heroes, hosted by Mark Rogers.  Thanks to many of you, Rachel was nominated in Four Categories for the show's Homey Awards: Best New Artist, Best Female Artist, Best EP (for Happy Happy), and Best Song (for "Rockstar, Bitch!")!  While she did not win any of these, Rachel is truly thrilled and honored to be listed alongside some of the most talented musicians in the Delaware Valley.

Delaware Is Close to Everywhere... except where you live...

It's kind of hard to get to one of Rachel's gigs from the Midwest, the West Coast, or the other side of the ocean. Rachel understands, and hopes that someday she'll be able to come to your town. You can actually help with that. Eventful.com is a great site where you can actually put in requests for your favorite artists to play your town, and local venues do take demands into account when booking. Find Rachel here and start a demand for your town! In the meantime subscribe to her YouTube page so you can watch clips of her onstage (including her newest song "Google Thinks We're Dating" and a cover of Coldplay's "In My Place"). Check the Contact page for other Rachel Schain links!
